Last night I witnessed a truly phenomenal fireworks display on the Nation's Capital. This isn't my picture (from Wiki, because my photos just didn't turn out), but it gives you the idea of the backdrop we had. My wife and some friends from out of town sat about 25 ft. from the Washington Monument to watch the fireworks launch from the Reflecting Pool. I know this is a bit cheesy, but it made me really happy to see so many different kinds of people all celebrating this great country of ours, carrying flags, wearing red, white and blue, etc. I highly recommend this event to anyone, as it was an unforgettable night!
