Link Dump

Seeing as how I'm in Indy visiting friends and family, I'll just post some links of interest:

--Eating dinner with my wife and parents last week, just a couple blocks down from the Capitol Building, I quickly noticed that we were sitting right next to Congressman Kucinich (D-Ohio). I had mixed feelings because the political nerd in me was excited to be next to a Congressman right in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, but this was Kucinich, a complete idiot in my opinion who continually tries to impeach the president and publicly stated his belief in UFO's. He's a moron, but it was interesting to hear what they were talking about (Obama and the primaries). Anyway, here's him introducing 35 articles of impeachment this week....idiot.
-Seattle wants to ban beach bonfires because of global warming. Maybe they should realize that the wood that would be used for the fire will otherwise be consumed by organisms which produce carbon as their primary byproduct or that just one of the many cruise ships that docks in the city produces a thousand times more carbon than any bonfire. Ridiculous.
-Sunspots remain elusive, and people are starting to notice.
-Why we should take Iran seriously.
-Since 2003, Al Qaeda, instead of spending time and money planning attacks in the US, has been concentrating its efforts in Iraq. Well, even the Guardian admits that the terrorist group is all but eliminated in Iraq and may realign their efforts elsewhere in the region. Of course, now they're weaker than ever and recruiting for a defeated force is all the more difficult.
-The Daily Show's take on the candidates and Israel :-)
