Saturday Evening Quote

This weekend marks the assassination anniversary of one of the greatest Americans in the 20th Century, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Too bad so many of his close associates have squandered his legacy (Jesse Jackson...ahem), but that's not to say that many have made great efforts to build upon it.

"When you are right you cannot be too radical; when you are wrong, you cannot be too conservative." -Martin Luther King Jr.

Yeah, I heard on the radio the speech that he gave the day before he died- amazing (and eerie considering he died the next day). It's the speech where he says, "I have been to the mountain top and mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the King."

Amazing speech and quite sad to think about. I wonder what King would think about today's current society.
